No infill, a third of the load. Sand and rubber on a 50 mm pitch weigh about 25 kg per sq m. On a rooftop or a podium over parking that is the number the structural engineer worries about. Non-infill turf takes it out: a dense, curled-fibre pile that stands up on its own and cushions without granules.
Where it belongs.
- Rooftop 5-a-side grounds in Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and every city where land is the constraint.
- Podium grounds over parking on corporate and residential campuses.
- Terraces and multi-use courts where sand and rubber tracked indoors is not acceptable.
- Rental grounds that want a cleaner, lower-maintenance surface.
The systems.
| System | Pile | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Non-infill 30 | 30 mm | Rooftop and podium football, the standard choice |
| Non-infill 40 | 40 mm | More cushion for ground-level rental grounds |
| Non-infill Lite | 30 mm | Value option for light use |
| White non-infill | 30 mm | Inlaid line marking |
₹70 to ₹85 per sq ft for the carpet, laid on a permeable shock underlay over the slab. No infill line in the quotation, and a five-year service life under rental use. Full range on the football turf page.
Questions, asked often.
Does non-infill play like a real pitch?
Firmer and faster than a 50 mm infill system, closer to futsal. Players adapt in a session. For rooftops it is the only sensible choice.
What is the structural load?
Turf and underlay together are around 6 to 8 kg per sq m, against 30 or more for an infill system. We provide the figure for your structural engineer.
How is it fixed on a rooftop?
Loose-laid on a shock underlay with perimeter fixing and ballast at edges, or glued to the slab where wind uplift is a concern. Drainage runs to the existing roof outlets.
Where are you based and where do you deliver?
Warehouse and design office in Surat, Gujarat. Turf ships by road to every state; same day in Surat, next day to Ahmedabad and Mumbai, two to six days elsewhere. See where we build.
