The coloured rubber top layer behind every playground, running track and rubber court that lasts. 21 UV-tested colours, five thicknesses, 25 percent polymer.
EPDM is the coloured rubber top-layer behind every playground, running track and rubber sports court that lasts a generation. Our line is sourced from Miroad Rubber, Malaysia21 federation-tested colours, five thicknesses, and 25% polymer content versus the 22% market average. Three percent more rubber per granule. Three to five more years on the surface.
The system
EPDM is always the top 6 mm wear layer, coloured, UV-resistant, the part the world sees and uses. Underneath sits an SBR rubber-buffing base, 9 to 30 mm depending on what the surface needs: shock absorption for playgrounds, traction for tracks, cushioning for gyms.
The top stays the same. The base flexes to the application. One spec sheet, five thicknesses, every use case from a school playground to a national-level athletics track.
EPDM application
Athletics tracks in spray-coat or sandwich systems, IAAF-standard geometry, cushioned and colour-fast.

Every colour passes the QUV 5,000-hour UV ageing test, the same FIFA & World Rugby protocol. No fading, no cracking, no agglomeration after 5,000 simulated sun-hours. Photos shown are actual granule samples.
Blend up to four of the 21 colours, see the finished surface, and get the kilos of each for your area. Send the link to your team, or save the blend sheet as a PDF for the tender file.

Every one of our 21 colours passes the QUV 5,000-hour UV ageing test, the protocol FIFA and World Rugby use. The colour runs through the whole granule, not a coating, so wear exposes more of the same colour. With a brush and a rinse every few weeks, expect the surface to look settled rather than faded after years of Indian sun. Lighter blends show dust sooner; darker blends run warmer in May.
Surface system
The EPDM top layer is always 6 mm. Only the SBR buffing base changes, giving you more cushioning for more demanding applications.

All test values third-party verified. EPDM packed in 25 kg bags, PU binder in 20 kg pails.
Every test independently verified by accredited laboratories. EN 71-3 (toy safety) and REACH SVHC 209 lead with government, school and municipal projects.

Base construction · Track & rubber systems
A surface is only as good as what it sits on. ILAN now builds the base as part of the project, so one team owns levels, drainage, tolerances and the surface on top. Layer thicknesses are finalised after our site survey and soil check.
Formation graded to inward falls so water runs to the inner drain, never across lanes.
GSB and WMM compacted in layers, tested, with the camber built in from the first layer.
Two-layer bituminous base, binder course plus wearing course, flat to tolerance before the rubber system goes down.
Inner-edge drain, catch pits and concrete kerbs to hold the track edge and the rubber build-up.

EPDM surfacing asks for very little. What it does ask for keeps colour and grip where they should be.
Sweep or blow debris off the surface. Grit underfoot abrades any rubber surface.
Wash down to clear dust and stop surface algae forming, particularly in shaded areas.
Inspect for lifting edges, blistering or wear at the highest-traffic points, slide exits, gate entries, lane 1 on a track.
Repairs are made by cutting out and re-pouring the affected area. Because the surface is bonded and seamless, a good repair blends rather than patches.
