Two FIH-approved systems: 13 mm water-based for Global category fields, 18 mm sand-dressed for National 1. Both from Bellinturf mill production.
Two tournament-grade systems, both FIH-approved Bellinturf mill production. Hockey Supreme WB 13mm for water-dressed FIH Global category fields, used at international Tier 1 competitions. Hockey Supreme 18mm sand-dressed for FIH National 1 category, built for state, university, and federation tournaments.
The international tournament surface. 13 mm pile, water-irrigated, with the consistent low-friction roll that elite hockey demands. Cert No. HT-22-117, certified to FIH Global category, the same standard used at Olympic and World Cup venues. Curl monofilament PE yarn at 7,600 dtex laid 33 stitches per 10 cm, on a double PP backing with black SBR latex secondary.
The federation, university, and club workhorse. 18 mm pile, sand-dressed with 12 kg/m² silica infill, high-density yarn (772,800 filaments/m²) for ball control without irrigation overhead. Bellin-Hockey Supreme 18 C, FIH-certified to National 1 category, eligible for national-level competition and multi-sport 1 fields. Same Bellinturf mill, same FIH certification programme.
Hockey is one of the few field sports with global mandatory product certification. The FIH (Fédération Internationale de Hockey) tests every approved surface for ball roll, ball rebound, shock absorption, and player traction, at an accredited test institute, with a full report. Without certification, the field cannot host competition.
FIH Global category surfaces are eligible for Olympic, World Cup, and senior international events. Water-irrigated 13 mm fields are the modern standard at elite level, pace, predictability, and consistent ball behaviour.
FIH National 1 covers state-level championships, university hockey, Hockey India league venues, and multi-sport facilities. Sand-dressed 18 mm gives federation-grade play without irrigation infrastructure.
Both products carry their full FIH test report and certificate, manufacturer, batch, test institute, lab signatures. We hand the documentation to the client at delivery. No certificate, no certified field.
A hockey pitch is more than the carpet. The build below is what every ILAN hockey project ships with as standard. Optional add-ons quoted separately.
A sand-dressed hockey field lives or dies on infill level and cleanliness. Both are simple to maintain, and both are visible in how the ball runs.
Sweep debris and check the surface is clear. Anything sitting on a hockey field affects ball roll immediately.
Brush to redistribute the sand infill and keep the pile upright and even across the field.
Check and top up sand infill. Low infill changes ball speed and accelerates fibre wear at the same time.
Irrigate if the system and level of play call for it, and repair localised damage by patch rather than relay.

Base construction · Turf systems
A surface is only as good as what it sits on. ILAN now builds the base as part of the project, so one team owns levels, drainage, tolerances and the surface on top. Layer thicknesses are finalised after our site survey and soil check.
Cut to formation level, proof-rolled, graded to the designed falls (0.5–1%) so water leaves the field, never pools on it.
Granular sub-base (GSB) 150–200 mm and wet-mix macadam (WMM) 100–150 mm, compacted in layers and tested for density.
Dense asphalt 40–50 mm or PCC, laid to a 3 mm over 3 m flatness tolerance, with shock pad where the system calls for it.
Perimeter drains, catch pits and kerbing, so the surface stays dry and the edges hold for years.
