Every failed pitch we have been asked to fix had a failed seam. Turf edges are butted, folded back, tape is centred under the joint, adhesive is spread on the tape with a notched trowel, and both edges are pressed into it while it is wet. The products decide whether that joint lasts ten years or two.

How much adhesive per seam?
Roughly 300 to 400 g per linear metre of seam on a 30 cm tape, depending on the backing. We compute it from the roll plan.
Can seams be stitched instead?
Stitched seams are used on some installations but open under stud load and infill migration. Glued tape seams are what the FIFA-tested systems specify.
