Built for a cricket ball first. Football turf at 50 mm with rubber infill kills the bounce. Cricket turf at 9 mm is too hard for football. The 35 mm hybrid sits between: a dense, sand-dressed pile that gives a true, consistent bounce for tennis-ball and hard-ball cricket, and enough cushion for a game of football on the same ground.

The ground around it.
A box is a 60 by 30 ft plot, a compacted base with falls, the hybrid turf, and a Garware knotless net enclosure on galvanised posts: 3 mm cord on the side walls, 2.5 mm on the roof. LED lighting on the posts. ₹9 to ₹15 lakh all-in for a standard box. See the turnkey build and the hybrid turf page.
Questions, asked often.
Can hard-ball cricket be played on it?
Yes, with a proper net enclosure. The 35 mm pile gives a consistent bounce; most boxes run tennis-ball leagues and hard-ball academy sessions on the same surface.
How does football feel on it?
Firmer and faster than a 50 mm infill pitch, closer to a futsal surface. Fine for 5-a-side and recreational play.
How long does it last?
Six to eight years on a maintained box with weekly brushing and sand top-ups.
