Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. A box cricket ground in Bhiwandi is a small plot, a good net and a surface that gives a true bounce. It is the lowest-cost sports business that works, and the one most often built badly.
Building for Bhiwandi conditions.
Bhiwandi sits in a coastal west climate: heavy south-west monsoon, humid air and salt within a few kilometres of the sea. Nets take the monsoon wind in Bhiwandi, so post spacing and foundations matter more than the mesh. We use Garware knotless netting on hot-dip galvanised posts, and the 35 mm hybrid turf sits on a base graded to drain, because a box that pools is a box that loses July.

Questions, asked often.
What does a box cricket ground cost in Bhiwandi?
A 60 by 30 ft box with 35 mm hybrid turf, full Garware net enclosure and lights typically lands between ₹9 and ₹15 lakh, depending on the base and the net height. Freight to Bhiwandi is next day from Surat.
Can the same ground be used for football in Bhiwandi?
Yes. The 35 mm hybrid turf is built for both. We mark both sets of lines, and most Bhiwandi boxes sell football slots on weekday evenings and cricket on weekends.
How high should the nets be?
Side walls at 6 metres, with a roof net for a full enclosure. We size the posts and foundations for Bhiwandi wind loads rather than a generic spec.
Do you supply the nets alone?
Yes. Garware netting cut to your drawing, with posts and fittings if you want them. Contractors in Bhiwandi buy nets and turf from us and do the civil work themselves.
