A FIFA Quality & Pro monofilament football turf, stepped up to 16,000 dtex for heavier match loads. 50 mm dual-colour pile in Field Green & Lime Green, PU-backed, engineered for the Indian sun, monsoon, and week-in, week-out play.

Monofilament, not fibrillated. Each blade is an individual PE monofilament with a stem spine, it stands back up after a slide tackle instead of matting flat, keeping ball roll true across a full season.
16,000 dtex of yarn weight at 8,820 stitches/m² gives a dense, resilient carpet that recovers under repeated stud impact. The dual-colour Field Green & Lime Green mimics a mown natural pitch.
PU secondary backing at a 2,250 g/m² total weight locks the tufts (≥40 N withdrawal force) and drains at ≥180 mm/h, built for monsoon-season play.
The 16,000 dtex Libra steps up the density and durability from the 12K tier, ideal for academy and club grounds that host frequent, competitive football.
Commercial pay-and-play boxes where daily footfall needs a resilient, true-rolling surface that looks the part.
Multi-session practice grounds that need a dependable pitch for training loads without stepping up to 16–18K pricing.
Recreational and community football where a FIFA-grade look and 5–6 year life beats a cheaper, short-lived carpet.
Manufacturer-backed warranty against defects in materials and UV degradation, supplied through ILAN as authorised CCGrass dealer.
Typical playable life under normal football use with correct infill maintenance and grooming.
≥180 mm/h permeability keeps the pitch playable through monsoon downpours with minimal standing water.
Installed Libra projects and close-ups.

ILAN supplies and installs. The base stages below matter more to the finished pitch than the turf stages do.
Site survey and levels
We survey the plot, check falls, drainage and the existing base. On a football pitch the base decides flatness, drainage and how the ball runs, more than the turf does.
Base check
We build the base: excavation, compacted GSB and WMM, drainage and a finished asphalt or concrete base laid to fall, checked for level and drainage. Where an existing slab or macadam is sound we verify it and correct only what is needed.
Shockpad (where specified)
An elastic layer under the turf where the specification or level of play calls for it. Confirmed at survey against intended use.
Rolling out and acclimatising
Rolls set out with pile direction planned across the whole pitch. All pile runs the same way or joints read as colour changes under floodlights.
Jointing
Seams joined on jointing tape with adhesive, pile matched across each joint. A correctly made joint is invisible from the touchline.
Line marking
Lines are inlaid, cut in and joined as turf rather than painted, so they wear at the same rate as the field.
Infill
Silica sand for ballast and stability, then rubber crumb for shock absorption, spread in controlled passes with brushing between each.
Final brush and handover
Power-brushed to lift the pile and settle infill evenly, then inspected and handed over with a maintenance brief.
A routine, not a budget. Done monthly it adds years; skipped, it costs them.
Clear leaves and litter. Debris trapped in infill holds moisture and shortens fibre life.
Drag-brush the full field to redistribute infill and lift the pile. The single most valuable thing you can do to an infill pitch.
Check infill depth, goalmouths and the centre circle lose it fastest, and top up. Decompact high-traffic zones.
Deep-clean and decompaction pass, plus a seam and line-marking inspection before the season.
Dtex is the weight of the yarn, how much material sits in each fibre. Libra runs 16,000 dtex. Heavier fibre resists splitting and folding for longer under traffic, which is the main driver of service life. It is not the only factor: density, backing and maintenance all matter.
This system carries a 6 yr written warranty and a typical service life of 7–8 yr. Real-world life depends heavily on playing hours, sun exposure, base quality and whether the pitch is brushed and topped up. An unmaintained pitch will not reach the lower end of that range.
Warranty is what is covered in writing (6 yr here). Service life is how long the surface realistically performs before it needs replacing (7–8 yr here). The gap between the two is normal across the industry, we quote both rather than only the flattering number.
Silica sand for ballast and stability, then rubber crumb for shock absorption, laid in controlled passes with brushing between each. Quantities are set by pile height and level of play, and confirmed at survey.
We supply systems tested to FIFA standards and can provide the test reports. A FIFA-certified field is a separate matter, that requires the installed pitch to be tested and certified on site. We are explicit about which one you are buying.
Infill systems add considerable weight and the crumb can migrate into drainage. For rooftops and podium decks we normally specify a non-infill system instead, see the Non-Infill range.
Often yes, if the base is sound, level and drains. If it ponds, cracks or moves, laying over it transfers the problem upward. We check the base at survey and tell you honestly which case you are in.
A correctly based and drained pitch sheds water and is playable soon after rain stops. Standing water is nearly always a base or falls problem rather than a turf problem.
